Customer Challenge
For years HAP was very good at one thing: installing HVAC. But knowing HVAC and selling it had become the same low-margin race: bid, install, move on, compete on price next time. HAP's clients were starting to ask for something the company couldn't hand them: not just cooling, but control – a way to see their energy, manage it across sites, and cut it.
The obvious paths led nowhere good. A software house would build to spec and understand nothing about HVAC. An in-house engineering team meant becoming a software company HAP had no wish to be. Meanwhile, at the client's sites, a nationwide wholesale/retail chain, HVAC, air-quality sensors and CCTV ran as separate islands, none talking to each other, spread across branches on mixed protocols and VRF hardware. The ambition sat on the shelf, the way good ideas do when the tooling to build them doesn't exist yet.
Solution
Instead of another fixed product, AltoTech offered a foundation HAP could build its own expertise onto: Alto CERO for Wholesale, a platform that monitors, controls and optimizes energy across a whole portfolio of sites from one dashboard — and lets a domain expert like HAP encode its HVAC knowledge into the control logic, then apply it everywhere at once.

The engineering was quietly hard. AltoTech worked alongside HAP's engineers to choose open-protocol equipment, added the controllers needed to bring the VRF systems online, and pulled the idle sensors into one system where they could finally feed analytics and automation. When issues surfaced across live, always-on retail floors, fixes shipped over the air, no truck rolls, no downtime, the platform improving while it ran.
Impact
The proof arrived the way it should: measured, not asserted. Across three sites the system avoided 534,749 baht in electricity cost and cut grid-import energy by 118,834 kWh – roughly a 24% reduction against each site's measured baseline, every figure verified under IPMVP Option C.
For the retailer, that became a dashboard the operations team now opens every day: monitoring, controlling, analysing, exporting the raw data. For HAP, it became something more durable than any single project: a product no competitor can copy. HAP no longer sells installation and walks away; it sells installation plus a verified, software-backed way to keep cutting energy.
